Full mock interviews

Pro

Sit the whole interview before the real one

Pick the sections you want and a spoken officer takes you through the complete N-400: the oath, the application review, English reading and writing, then the civics test. It stops where a real interview stops and gives you a pass or a fail. By interview day you have already sat through it.

AI timeline

Pro

A day-by-day plan that counts down with you

Give it your interview date and you get a day-by-day timeline: what to learn today, what to go back over, when to sit a checkpoint test. A readiness score tells you where you actually are, and a streak counts the days you showed up.

Performance

Pro

See the questions tripping you up

Questions you keep getting wrong collect in a Trouble Questions list, and you can drill just those in one tap. Pass rate, average score, and your best run sit on the same screen.

Flashcards

Learn every question, one topic at a time

Go through every official question by category: American Government, History, Symbols and Holidays. Tap a card to hear it read aloud, flip it, then rate how well you knew it. Mastery tracking keeps score card by card.

What you get

One app, from your first flashcard to interview day.

Free

Flashcards by category

Every official question, grouped by topic, with mastery tracking on each card so you can see what is still shaky.

Free

Realistic practice tests

Random questions in the real exam format, self-check or multiple choice. Take as many tests as you want.

Pro

Full mock interview

The whole N-400 run-through with a spoken officer: oath, application review, English reading and writing, civics. It stops the way a real interview stops.

Pro

Personalized study plan

Set your interview date and the app schedules the reviews, the weak-spot drills, and the checkpoints, then scores how ready you are.

Always free

Read-aloud audio

Tap any question or answer to hear it spoken. Useful while your English is still coming along, and it is free for everyone.

Always free

65/20 exemption mode

If you are 65 or older and have been a permanent resident for 20 years, you study 20 designated questions instead of all 100.

Compare your options

Cheaper than one session with a lawyer, and you can do it as often as you like.

An immigration lawyer will sit you through a single mock interview for $100-300. Most other apps bill you every month until you remember to cancel.

The usual options

Other apps & lawyer services

$100-300 per session
  • Often cover only one test version
  • Mock interviews are rare, or one lawyer session for $100-300
  • Practice is capped, or billed per session
  • Read-aloud audio is rare
  • No personalized study plan or readiness score
  • Little or no 65/20 exemption support
  • Needs internet, or an in-person appointment
  • App subscriptions ($10-15/mo) that keep charging

What is the supreme law of the land?

One question is a taste. The site has all 128 civics questions and answers for the 2025 test, the 100 questions on the 2008 test, and the 20 designated 65/20 questions, free to read.

Questions

Before you sign up.

Is the app free?

Yes, and you can pass on the free tier alone. Flashcards, unlimited civics practice tests, read-aloud audio, and 65/20 mode all cost nothing. Pro is a one-time $14.99 unlock for the full mock interview, the personalized study plan and readiness insights, and no ads. It never renews.

Do you cover the 2025 civics test?

Yes. The app covers both versions and lets you switch between them: the 2025 test (128 questions, where the officer asks up to 20 and you must answer 12 correctly) and the 2008 test (100 questions, where the officer asks 10 and you must answer 6 correctly). Both lists live on this site with answers and explanations.

Which version of the test do I take?

Your Form N-400 filing date decides it, and the interview date has no effect. Filed on or after October 20, 2025 puts you on the 2025 test; filed before that, the 2008 test. Both lists are in the app either way.

What is the 65/20 special consideration?

If you are 65 or older when you file and have been a lawful permanent resident for 20 or more years, you study 20 designated questions instead of the full list, and the officer asks 10 of those 20. Each test version has its own set of 20. The app has a mode for exactly this on the 2008 list, always free.

Are you affiliated with USCIS?

No. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by USCIS or any government agency. This is independent study tooling built around the publicly available civics questions. It gives you no access to the official test and cannot process or influence your application.

Does it work offline?

Yes. The questions and your progress live on your device, so a commute with no signal still counts as study time.

Be ready on the day that counts.
