This Privacy Policy explains how the Citizenship Civics Test mobile app (the “App”) and this website at citizenshipcivicstest.com (the “Site”) handle information. Not affiliated with or endorsed by USCIS or any government agency.

Information we collect

In the App. The App is designed to work offline and does not require an account.

• Study data (your progress, bookmarks, notes, streaks, and test history) is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us.
• Advertising data. In the free, ad-supported version, our advertising partner (Google AdMob) may collect device identifiers, IP address, and ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads. On iOS we ask for your permission via App Tracking Transparency; if you decline, you will see non-personalized ads.
• Purchase data. If you buy the one-time Pro unlock, the transaction is processed by Apple or Google and our purchase-management provider (RevenueCat). We receive your purchase and entitlement status, not your full payment-card details.
• Notifications. Optional study reminders are scheduled locally on your device; no notification data is sent to us.

On the Site.

• Waitlist email. If you submit your email to join the waitlist, it is stored by our email provider (Buttondown) so we can notify you at launch and send occasional updates.
• Basic usage analytics. We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics that do not track you across other sites and do not build advertising profiles. Standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) may be recorded for security and reliability.

How we use information

• To provide and improve the App and Site.
• To serve and measure advertising in the free version.
• To process purchases and restore them across your devices.
• To send waitlist and launch updates you asked for (you can unsubscribe anytime).

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers that make the App and Site work: Google AdMob (advertising), RevenueCat and the app stores (purchases), and Buttondown (waitlist email), each under their own privacy terms, and where required by law.

Your choices

• Ads: on iOS, adjust tracking under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; you may also reset your advertising identifier.
• Study data: resetting progress in the App, or deleting the App, removes local data from your device.
• Email: every waitlist email includes an unsubscribe link.
• Requests: to access or delete information we hold, email support@citizenshipcivicstest.com.

Children’s privacy

The App and Site are intended for adults preparing for U.S. naturalization and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security & retention

We use reasonable measures to protect information and retain it only as long as needed for the purposes described here. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

International users

Information may be processed in the United States, where our providers operate.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
